From our inception in 1987, our firm was built on the premise that providing every client with a level of “service excellence” unmatched in the industry will enable us to expand our business, achieve “longevity” and become a “nationally recognized leader” in the Voluntary Benefits marketplace.

We have realized and outperformed the milestones and goals we set out to obtain in the beginning and now we are looking forward to helping as many organizations as possible to build a robust and comprehensive voluntary benefits program.

Winston’s long standing history as a pioneer and an innovator in the voluntary benefits marketplace has positioned our organization’s solutions and services to be among the most robust and comprehensive in the industry.

1989 - Winston enrolls our first client, a large multiple site health care system.

1990 - as our client base began to grow we realized the need for a more efficient solution to administer payroll deductions and premium payments between our clients and the Carriers. Winston was one of a handful of organizations which helped pioneer the technology known today as “consolidated billing”. Today our BenefitInsite enables a client to enroll, administer and perform premium reconciliation for multiple voluntary benefit products from multiple Carriers utilizing a single payroll instruction code. This solution provides a zero-dollar billing reconciliation report generated for each payroll cycle insuring your plan premium disbursements match each Carriers billing statement.

1991 - Winston created our own self-branded voluntary benefits program; VIP – Voluntary Insurance Program. As we met with potential clients we recognized the needs of an employer group’s diverse population could not be satisfactorily addressed and fulfilled by a single voluntary benefits Carrier. VIP provided employer groups with the unique flexibility to select individual voluntary benefit products from any Carrier and manage them all under the VIP Plan umbrella. The Plan enables an employer to select the “Best-in-Class” voluntary products from any Carrier which are best suited for their population and communicate, educate, enroll and administer them all through our proprietary, turn-key solution.

1992 – The “Benefits-On-Demand” Call Center for client services is opened to support benefit questions, enrollment and claim issues for employees participating in the VIP Plan.

1995 – Marks the addition of our twenty-fifth client in the VIP Plan.

1997 – The introduction of Direct and Off-Payroll billing solutions for voluntary benefit programs are made available to VIP clients.

1999 – Announce our first on-line benefits portal.

2001 – Introduction of IBS – Integrated Benefits System; our proprietary enrollment/ communications solution for voluntary benefit programs.

2004 – Introduction and launch of Winston’s Voluntary Benefits Program for Retirees.

2006 – Winston forms a dedicated Dependent Eligibility Audit Team and offers the service as a stand alone solution and conducts first client audit.

2010 – Winston launches EBS – Employee Benefits Solution; successor to our proprietary enrollment/communications solution which consolidates all services into a single sign-on SaaS (Software as a Service) solution.

2011 – Winston’s Voluntary Insurance Program surpasses 500,000 participants.

2013 – Winston moves into new corporate headquarters to support rapid growth.

2014 – Winston launches new version of our benefit administration technology, rebranded as BenefitInsite
